Matt is an Active Duty Chief Warrant Officer 3 with a robust operational career in Counter Narcotics and the Counter Terrorism fields with U.S. Coast Guard, Deployable Specialized Forces (DSF). With a career spanning over three decades of service (29 plus years) within the U.S. Navy and U.S. Coast Guard he is currently the Division Officer of the Tactical Delivery Team, attached to Maritime Security Response Team - East.

Matt has held accomplished roles of Senior Non-Commissioned Officer and Commissioned Officer while on Active Duty, as well as acting as a Military Advisor to United States Military foreign partners.  He is a proven and effective team leader with qualifications and experience at the highest level of U.S. Coast Guard Tactical, Counter Narcotics / Migration, and Advanced Interdiction boat operations. 

On top of NAFBF, he is an active Board of Directors member with the Coast Guard Tactical Law Enforcement Association (CGTLEA), a nationwide non-profit that brings relief to Coast Guard DSF members and their families in times of crisis, as well as the Patriot Training Foundation in St. Louis MO, a Non-Profit organization that mentors and trains High School aged candidates to prepare for application and entry into any of the United States Service Academies. 

Matt is a firm believer that organized team sports (specifically Hockey and Lacrosse) prepare and mold young people to become viable candidates for entry into U.S. Military Special Operations Forces, as well as guiding them to become responsible adults and contributors to society.  He has participated directly with youth sports by volunteering as a youth hockey coach for the Meramec Hockey Club in St. Louis Missouri, as well as recruiting director and Vice President for the same organization.  On top of hockey, he was also a coach for the South County Blue Jays Lacrosse Club in the same area.”
