
Colonel Gabe Arrington is a senior military officer in the United States Air Force and currently serves as the Senior Director of Operations in Air Mobility Command. In this capacity he oversees the command and control of more than 1,200 air mobility and 300 ground support missions annually directly supporting the highest priorities of national defense. He ensures the successful execution of over 700 personnel planning continuous worldwide logistics movements.
Gabe graduated from the United States Air Force Academy with Military Distinction in 2003. As a commander and strategist, he was recognized by the Secretary of the Air Force for creating and leading the Air Force’s ‘Pilot Training Next’ program, utilizing artificial Intelligence to optimize individual pilot performance and positioning the Air Force for $320M in fiscal year savings annually. He was a key strategist in writing the Joint Warfighting Concept for the Department of Defense, incorporating emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence into Department of Defense Future Force Design. He has been recognized by the Secretary of the Air Force for leading the #1 team in the Air Force in identifying emerging technologies that led to $3B in funding and a Program Decision Memorandum for an additional $6B and the establishment of a Program of Record. Additionally, Colonel Arrington has been awarded a secondary Air Force Specialty Code in Space Operations after completing the USAF Space Officer Course with the intent of developing multi-domain leaders for the Joint Force.
Gabe serves on the Board of Directors of the National Amateur Fall Baseball Federation, PPE Kids, AI 2030, and BiTechnologies. He is passionate about serving the community and empowering the next generation of leaders in society, leading him to volunteer for the National Amateur Baseball Federation’s important mission.
He is well known in Policy, Think Tank, and charitable communities for his work across many global issues. He is a Massachusetts Institute of Technology Seminar XXI Fellowship as well as a National Defense Fellow at the Center for a New American Security graduate. Gabe has provided expert commentary on emerging technologies and artificial intelligence and has been published in Defense One, The Hill, Breaking Defense, Real Clear Defense, and Air University.
Gabe is a senior pilot and strategist in the United States Air Force, having logged over 2,450 hours and 273 combat missions in both airlift and tanker aircraft. He has commanded at the Air Task Force and Squadron levels as well as served in multiple positions at the Joint Staff, Air Staff, MAJCOM, Air Operations Center, Wing, Group, and Squadron levels.
