Michael Heron

A lifelong sports enthusiast, Michael has always been an athlete and fan, but was always first and foremost, a baseball player. He went from playing in Little League to High School to College, with showcase and premier club teams in between, and after all that, Michael loves nothing more than the camaraderie and brotherhood you create with your teammates, except for maybe the smell of fresh leather from his glove.

Michael grew up throughout the US, but the majority of his life was spent in Texas, New Jersey and Connecticut, where he currently resides.  After representing Team USA at an international tournament in Italy in 2011, Michael was offered several  scholarships to play baseball at multiple colleges, but opted to attend the University of Scranton where he focused on his academics and building a future career. During his time at the University of Scranton, he became very involved on campus - Joining Business Club (served as VP for 2017-2018), being a Co-Founder of the University's Archery Team, an Academic Tutor for Finance and Economics, Future Alumni Network of Scranton (FANS): Committee Member, and a member of the Student Advisory Board for the Kania School of Management. On top of all that Michael made the Dean's List for above average grades and was a Loyola Merit Scholar. Michael then graduated Scranton with the Class of 2018 with a Bachelors of Science in Finance.

Today, Michael Heron is a vibrant and eager Finance Professional with a strong history of achievement in Financial Services, primarily in Operations and Investor Relations. He is a motivated leader with a robust willingness to learn new skills. He has taken his experiences working for Asset Management firms and Hedge Funds doing Middle Office Operations and has transitioned into a Fintech Start up that focuses on the democratization of public investing (crowdfunding) into Green Energy and Climate related ventures. He is a valuable asset with his current company as the Investor Marketplace / Investor Relations Associate.

Michael's long term goal is to get involved in the nonprofit world, ideally revolving around sports, and to share his experiences as a student athlete and help the next generation of baseball players and other athletes alike. His hobbies include baseball, pickleball, boating, snowboarding, traveling, auto mechanics and golf.
